Personal training

What are your fitness goals?

Whether you’re interested in losing weight, increasing stamina or simply looking for new motivation, consider personal training.

Our certified personal training staff will work with you to create an efficient, personalized plan to help you achieve your fitness goals. A certified fitness trainer can provide structure, direction and accountability for your training.

What’s more, because a trainer’s job is to keep you focused on results, the time you spend working out will become more productive. Your trainer will create a plan to help you get maximum results in minimum time. Whether you need regular guidance with your workouts or just a refresher every now and then, our personal trainers are here to help.

Women's Health Center personal training

Personal training fees:

  • 30 minutes-$20
  • One hour-$35
  • Programs: Extra $15 for each one given
  • Six 30-minute sessions-$108 ($12 Savings)
  • 12 30-minute sessions-$204 ($36 savings)
  • Six one-hour sessions-$189 ($21 savings)
  • 12 one-hour sessions-$357 ($63 Savings)

Personal trainers

April Robinson
April Robinson
April Robinson joined the Sanford Women's Health Center in 2009, first as a fitness instructor and more recently as a certified personal trainer. She is thrilled to take all her years of group fitness knowledge, personal training certification and personal love of health and fitness, to guide clients to their own success. When she isn't busy raising 4 young children with her wonderful husband, she can be found encouraging anyone she can to create and meet their own healthy lifestyle plan.

Education and certification: April Received her personal training certification with American Fitness Training of Athletics. She is also Mossa Group Power and Groove certified and teaches bootcamp, pilates and SPIN.

Emily Vasey
Emily Vasey
Emily Vasey has been working as a Massage therapist , Personal trainer and aerobics instructor at Sanford Women's Health Center since 2002. Vasey is also the Program Development Coordinator, overseeing the personal training and massage therapy staff; and coordinates the Adventure Fit Camp program. Emily enjoys assisting others in pursuing a well-balanced healthy and sustainable lifestyle. She has a passion for motivating others to believe in themselves and to find their inner strength. Her goal is to help every client reach their goals from fat loss to injury prevention and everything in between.

Education and certification: Emily Vasey received her Licensed massage Therapy License in 1999 from Myotherapeutic School of Massage. She graduated from the University on North Dakota with a BS in Physical Education w a minor in Nutrition. Emily completed her Personal trainer certification and Lifestyle and Weight Management certification in 2004 from the American Council on Exercise. She is also Mossa Group Power and Groove certified and teaches bootcamp classes.

Bridget Carlson
Bridget Carlson
Bridget Carlson loves helping others make a positive change in their lives weather it's gaining strength, endurance, improving posture, or simply adding movement into their weekly schedule. She loves working with all ages and fitness levels, helping them reach their goals in ways that work specifically for them.

Education and certification:Bridget Carlson graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Dance. She has been a dancer since the age of three and danced professionally for two years after college. Bridget is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and has been training and instructing for 5 years. She is Certified in Zumba, instructs Boot Camp, Kickboxing, Strength, Pilates and Senior Stretch.

Lisa Dingeman has been with the Women's Health Center since April 2015. She has 2 active boys and loves chasing them around. Lisa became passionate about health and fitness after she had her first child and understood the importance of staying healthy. Certified through NASM with previous military experience Lisa's sweet demeanor offsets her intense drive for her clients results.
Kayla Shea
Kayla Shea
Kayla Shea joined the Women's Health Center team in 2014. She is over joyed to use her education to help better others. She enjoys training all varieties from athletes to those who just need that push to workout. Her background in Athletic Training helps those individuals that are looking to workout, but may have ailments that are stopping them. She is able to work with any injury that comes her way, so her clients get the best workout possible.

Education and certification: Kayla Shea is a certified personal trainer, athletic trainer, as well as CPR certified. She completed her personal training certification through American Fitness Professionals and Associates. She also graduated from the University of Mary with an undergrad in Athletic Training.

Sierra Steckler
Sierra Steckler
Sierra Steckler joined Sanford Women's Health Center in 2015, first as a weight trainer and more recently as a certified exercise physiologist. She is excited to share her passion for health and wellness with the community. She enjoys working with clients of all backgrounds, whether you're an athlete looking to improve in your sport, or someone who is new to exercise, and everyone in between. Sierra is looking forward to working with you!

Education and certification: Sierra Steckler is a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine. She graduated from the University of Mary in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and a Minor in Wellness. She is currently enrolled in the University of Mary's Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program.

Strength training

Level 1

New members beginning a strength training program receive four training sessions on our Cybex equipment and are encouraged to seek trainer assistance to review and add options as needed.

Training in the use of a free weight strengthening program is available also.

Level 2

Fitness consults can help motivate you to exercise on a consistent basis by helping you develop realistic short-term and long-term goals.

Our trainers can also take your measurements, body fat composition and weight to help you track your progress.

Level 3

Personal training on a one-to-one basis is available for those who wish to have a trainer personally guide and encourage them through a one hour program tailored to meet their specific needs and goals.

An additional fee is charged for this service.
