Sanford Health ranks high in colorectal cancer care report
In 2010, the Sanford Cancer Committee released the Annual Colorectal Cancer Report. The report determined that from early detection to cutting edge medical oncology and radiation oncology treatments to the multidisciplinary approach of treating the disease, Sanford Health is ahead of the country in the success of colorectal cancer care. The average overall survival of colorectal cancer patients at Sanford Health is about 5 percent higher than across the country, and Sanford Health’s programs are working to increase that advantage.
The 2011 report, which focuses on non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, shows that Sanford Health is once again ahead of the country in the success of cancer care, including lymphoma. The report confirms that Sanford Health’s overall patient survival rate is about 5 percent higher than the national average.
